2009 | Het leven uit een dag | Life In One Day

In a world where human life passes in one single day nothing can be repeated. It is only possible to get drunk once in a lifetime, it is only possible to engage in the sexual act once and a woman can only get pregnant once. Only when you go to hell one can live things over and over again. Benny and Gini fall in love and decide to go to hell by committing a murder and being sentenced to death. That way they can stay together ‘for ever’. Then something goes wrong and they do not arrive in hell together and a desperate search for eachother enrolls.

The second part of the movie - the search -  is filmed in split screen.

Based on the novel Life in One Day by A.F.Th van der Heijden
